Can I customize my RAM/CPU/HDD space?

Yes, we scale servers through different-level Block packages. To increase the server's capability the user would be directed to a higher Block package, and vice versa for a decrease.

DotBlock offers two types of upgrade options:

1) Flexible/variable upgrade during which only the CPU/RAM/Bandwidth are upgraded thus allowing you to downgrade back to a lower package in the future if you wish. These upgrades can be done on-the-fly only requiring that your server is shutdown and then rebooted to acquire the additional resources.

2) Permanent upgrade during which the disk space on your server is expanded along with the CPU/RAM/Bandwidth. You would be unable to downgrade back to a lower package in the future without a reinstall. These types of upgrades can involve up to an hour of downtime.

It may be possible to upgrade memory separately, depending on the user's individual situation. If this is the case, please contact our support department to discuss the specifics - here https://billing.dotblock.com/contact.php. Pricing for these (and other) features can be found here. - https://www.dotblock.com/addons.php

Depending on the server's application, users may decide that our Dedicated Servers best suit their needs. Check out https://www.dotblock.com/dedicated.php for more details.
